Contributed to the success of Make: Community’s online presence by developing and maintaining a portfolio of high-traffic websites (makezine.com, makerfaire.com, makershed.com, etc.) using WordPress, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This included content management, UAT testing, and event coordination (Eventbrite). Thrived in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget while adapting to changing priorities.

Empowered a global network of website producers across 200+ ‘Global Maker Faire’ events by providing comprehensive training and technical support, facilitating effective online event management and community engagement. Served as the primary technical resource, troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless online experiences for these events worldwide.

  • Web development on tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment for multiple web properties. Valuable contributions from initial site build to post-launch tasks.
  • WordPress theme setup, customization, plugin updates, and QA testing.
  • I helped to grow the global events program from 30 to over 250 WordPress websites.
