At Maker Media, I was a key Web Producer within a dynamic team, directly contributing to the global “Maker Faire” movement. My role centered on building and maintaining a vast network of websites, providing critical technical support and training, and ensuring digital quality and accessibility for a diverse, worldwide community of creators.
Empowered a global network of website producers across 200+ ‘Global Maker Faire’ events by providing comprehensive training and technical support, facilitating effective online event management and community engagement. Served as the primary technical resource, troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless online experiences for these events worldwide.
- Instrumental in growing the global “Maker Faire” events program from 30 to over 250 WordPress websites, aligning with Maker Media’s mission to empower creators.
- Provided highly tailored technical support and comprehensive training for 200+ licensed global events worldwide, overcoming varied technical proficiencies with on-demand sessions, screen-sharing, and improved user manuals for WordPress customization.
- Managed website content, copy-editing, graphic design, and conducted extensive QA testing.
- Ensured ADA accessibility across multiple web properties, maintaining GDPR and CCPA compliance.
- Managed Eventbrite registration for over 1000 separate events
